Three proficiency tests are offered in the
discipline of latent prints. Each test is issued once per year
and allows nine weeks (shipment to Data Due Date) for examination.
Latent Prints Proficiency Test:
516
Comparison of 4 sets of inked known/exemplar
prints with 8-12 latent prints. Samples consist of digitally
produced photographs.
Latent Prints Proficiency Test:
517/518
Comparison of 4 sets of inked known/exemplar
prints with 8-12 latent prints. The images are the same for
both tests; however, Test 517 will consist of digitally produced
photographs, and Test 518 will consist of digital images placed
on compact discs (1000 ppi, .tif format). The shipment and
reporting aspects of these tests are combined.
Imprint/Impression Evidence Proficiency
Test: 533
This test involves the examination and
comparison of footwear/tire impressions or other types of
imprint/impression evidence. Photographs of the known and
questioned imprints/impressions are provided to participants
for their examination.
Latent Prints Data Sheets Online
This is not an online submission of your
data; these forms must be printed and then mailed or faxed
to CTS (e-mailed data sheets will not be accepted).
